The Embassy of The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia

Community Affairs Section of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia was Established in May 2006 and is performing a variety of tasks with regard to Ethiopians and Ethiopian origins living in Canada.  To this end the main activities of this section are:

· Serves as a liaison between different government bodies and Ethiopians and Ethiopian origins living abroad.

· Disseminating accurate information to the community

· Conducting research, which helps in identifying the problems of the Ethiopians and Ethiopian origins in order to increase their participation in nation building

· Encourages the active involvement of the Ethiopians and Ethiopian origins in   socio-economic activities of the country.

· Mobilizes the Ethiopian community abroad for a sustained and organized image building of the country
